A baby is dream of every couple. When a baby borns then all in the family members get promoted automatically. One promoted to father, someone to mother, brother, grandfather, grandmother etc. These changes in the relationships will be same in case of either a baby boy or baby girl borns. A cute innocent baby does not know about means of these relations then gender inequality exists in our society?



Unfortunately, In our society there is a gender inequality today. This gender discrimination starts from home and reach up to every field upto at work. Everyone looks for a boy child instead of a girl child. Sex Ratio in India currently stands at 945 females available for every 1000 males. Effects of gender discrimination in society will be dangerous for future. If this situation will be continue then many boys will remain unmarried as they will not find suitable match for them. Government of India is also running many programs to save and educate a girl child. One of their programs are "Beti Bachao, Beti Parao" [बेटी बचाओ-बेटी पढ़ाओ].

You should thank to the God after getting a healthy baby. There are many couples who does not even get any baby due to fertility problems and treated their self with the hope of a child. So you are lucky. 

Single Child

Inflation rate is very high and increasing day by day. Its hard to manage expenditures of a single child so drop plan for another child. Nurture your single child with everything whatever can do. Give your family a quality time. If you will have more children then you will be more busy and even not able to give enough time to your family because you have to earn more money for them.


Celebrate birthday

Every year you should celebrate birthday of your daughter as per your capacity. Give chocolates, candies to your daughter to distribute in the school. She should feel special. Give her birthday gifts.

If you will have a single child then you can educate her in a good city school. Plan their schooling and higher studies. Start saving accordingly.

Marriage planning

If your daughter will be educated and well qualified then there would not be any problem for her marriage. But you should plan for the future expenditures and start saving since her birth. Small savings on regular basis gives a huge returns. Indian government has also started a saving plan called "Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts" for a girl child. You cannot be always with your child. Give some self defense training to your daughter. Self-defense is the use of physical force to counter an immediate threat of violence.

Investments & Savings

There are many options for investing in, the child plans, mutual funds, debt instruments. It is advisable that start investing as early as possible.
